Introduction:

Hi, I am Bobbie Strouse RNBSN. I am employed as a Nurse Educator for Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster Calif. Our facility has recently gone through our first "roll-out" in the development of our electronic health record system. I and my fellow educators are involved in the preassessment evaluations, the user acceptance testing of the software, and training the staff on the use of each application. Gaining user acceptance, both RNs and MDs, has been challenging.
I am enrolled in the U.C. Davis Health Informatics certificate program. My goal is to expand my education and knowledge base in informatics to better aid in both development, and the education of the end user; to ensure acceptance of eHealth applications by the hospital staff.
